Dear Students, Families, Staff, and Community Members,
Welcome to the Pawling Central School District.
It is an incredible honor to serve as your Superintendent of Schools. I begin this role with deep gratitude, great respect for this community, and tremendous excitement for all that we will accomplish together.
From the very beginning of my introduction to Pawling, it was clear to me that this is a truly special place. Pawling is a district where students are embraced, educators care deeply, and the community shows up consistently in support of its schools. That shared commitment is a powerful strength, and one I hold with deep respect and a profound sense of responsibility.
Our schools are more than places where students learn. They are community cornerstones where children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and as members of a community that believes in them. It is both a privilege and a profound trust to help support the educational experiences of Pawling’s children, and I step into this role with humility, hope, and a deep sense of shared purpose.
Guided by Pawling’s mission to empower student success, we will remain steadfast in our commitment to ensuring that every student has access to enriching opportunities that inspire a love of learning and prepare them for the future. Our aim is to support students who are academically prepared, creative and innovative thinkers, effective communicators, and globally minded citizens ready to contribute meaningfully to the world around them.
To fulfill this mission, we must continue cultivating a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment throughout the entire Pawling school community. Every student, staff member, family, and community partner should feel seen, valued, respected, appreciated, and empowered. A culture of respect and appreciation is essential to strong schools. When people feel seen and heard, trust grows. When trust grows, collaboration deepens. And when collaboration deepens, students benefit.
Together, we will continue focusing on strengthening community engagement and creating meaningful opportunities for dialogue, collaboration, and shared involvement in shaping the future of our schools. We will work to deepen partnerships, enhance communication tools, and create spaces for families, staff, students, and community members to share their voices. Strong schools are built through open, respectful, and proactive communication, and I look forward to working together in that spirit.
