Making Memories With Grandparents 2026

6:30pm - 8:30pm
Our annual event where grandparents enjoy some special time with their grandchildren.
We have four fun activities planned. The children and grandparents will be:
1) ) Making a Grandparents Rock craft, - This will be a nice keepsake to bring home. You might want to put it in a frame or scrapbook. (Please bring scissors, some crayons, a pencil and some glue sticks) We'll supply the grandparent and guitar drawings.
2) Making a Dreamcatcher - (Please bring a dinner sized white paper plate, a ruler, and a one hole-punch . You'll also be using your glue sticks, crayons, scissors and ruler again.) We'll supply the yarn, small feathers, small pom poms and pony beads.
3) Enjoying a family sing-along. We'll provide the lyrics to "The More We Get Together", "Make New Friends" and "If You're Happy and You Know it".
4) It’s become a tradition to play “Musical Chairs” together. The children and grandparents have had so much fun in the past with this game. Please let us know which of your favorite songs to include in the playlist. Prizes for the winning Grandparent and winning Grandchild will be awarded.
Also, please bring a healthy snack to share. (Popcorn, pretzels, baked chips, fruit snacks, fruit, veggies, etc.) Stone Soup will provide lemonade, iced tea and water. Please do not bring juice boxes or any other drinks.
You must register by May 1st so we can be sure to have enough tables and chairs for everyone.
