Making Memories With Grandparents 2024

6:30pm - 8:30pm
Our annual event where grandparents enjoy some special time with their grandchildren is back.
We have five fun activities planned. The children and grandparents will be:
1) Making Hand Print Hearts - This will be a nice keepsake to bring home. You might want to put it in a frame or scrapbook. (Please bring a few pieces of construction paper, some glue sticks, pencils and safety scissors for this activity.)
2) Complete short "Love You" surveys as the grandparents and grandchildren write and/or draw pictures about the things they love about each other. We’ll supply the surveys. You will need to bring some pencils and crayons to complete the surveys.
3) Folding newspaper pages to make newspaper hats which they can decorate and wear. Bring a few large newspaper pages. We'll also have some on hand. We'll provide the directions.
4) Participate in a Family Sing Along - Pawling Elementary Music Teacher Brianne Chasanoff will lead the grandparents and grandchildren in a fun family sing along.
5) It’s become a tradition to play “Musical Chairs” together. The children and grandparents have had so much fun in the past with this game. Please let us know which of your favorite songs to include in the playlist. Prizes for the winning Grandparent and winning Grandchild will be awarded!
Also
Please bring a healthy snack to share. (Popcorn, pretzels, baked chips, fruit snacks, fruit, veggies, etc.) Stone Soup will provide lemonade, iced tea and water.
You must register by May 3rd so we can be sure to have enough tables and chairs for everyone.
