Superintendent's Message

Dear Pawling Community,

On behalf of the Board of Education, please accept my sincerest thanks for supporting
Pawling Central School District’s 2026-2027 Budget. Your support will allow the district to
provide our students with a first-class education for ALL children in our schools. I would
also like to take this opportunity to thank our community members who took an active
role during the budget process. Your input was greatly appreciated.

Our budget mission has been consistent from the beginning. We wanted to “create a
budget that will allow our students to receive a top-notch education while maintaining
current programs and proactively planning for the future.” Our focus to stay under the tax
cap allowed us to strategically plan in order to achieve cost savings and efficiency while
preserving high quality education. It is our responsibility to prepare students for an ever-
changing world, and we can only do that by working together to find creative ways to
provide our children with the best and most innovative educational environment.

I would also like to express my appreciation to all the Board candidates who expressed a
genuine interest in improving our school district. Congratulations to Michelle Spielvogel
and Jennifer Johnson on their election as Board of Education Trustees.
Finally, I would like to thank Sandro Oré for his years of service as a Board of Education
Trustee. Sandro has continually supported students and staff and we truly appreciate his
commitment to Pawling.
