Shop Healthy, Shop Easy, Shop on a Budget!

The Pawling Central School District’s Health & Wellness Committee together with the PTA and the PTSA invite all district families to a fun, informative presentation by nutrition expert Allison Stowell at the Pawling Hannaford’s at 6:30pm on Wednesday, April 13th.

Participants will learn all about:

Ø    Reading and understanding food labels!

Ø    Food ingredients to look for….and to avoid!

Ø    Choosing healthy snacks for children!

Ø    Preparing quick, easy dinners on a budget!

Ms. Stowell, MS, RD and CDN, is a registered dietitian and writes a weekly nutrition column for the Putnam County Times. She has a successful private practice and provides nutrition classes and community workshops through Hannaford Brothers grocery stores.  The PCSD Health & Wellness Committee is a volunteer group of parents, teachers, administrators and community members whose goal is to encourage students and their families to make healthy eating, exercise and lifestyle choices.

Please join us at Hannaford’s on April 13th! For more information, contact Sonya Abbye-Taylor at taylors@pawlingschools.org or Karen Burka at kburka@comcast.net.

And a New Program at the High School:
